If you know me, you know that tomatoes are my very favorite. I love how they have such a wide spectrum of flavor - from sweet as candy, to sour and tangy, rich and deep, balanced and savory. I think they are the very best thing about summer! Last year we hosted our first annual tomato party to celebrate the season and it ended up being my favorite, and the most delicious day of the summer.

We’re excited to be doing it again this year! We will have a huge selection of tomatoes fresh from the garden to taste so you can discover your new favorite variety. And we welcome yours too! If you grow a variety that you think others need to try, please bring it along to share!

This also seems like a great excuse for a potluck, right? Feel free to show off your culinary skills and bring along your favorite tomato dish. We’ll have ice water available, but BYOB and your place setting, and maybe a camp chair.

My garden will be in it’s peak summer state, so we invite you to join us to sample some tomatoes, grab a snack, wander the garden, and enjoy a summer day at Green Haven Gardens. Or come early for a guided garden tour.

This event will be free and open to the public so please bring your family and your tomato loving friends!!
